Another Season ended...

Congratulations to all the teams at ANUFC for a wonderful year on and off the pitch!

Special mention goes to Division 5 who despite ahost of teams making finals were the only ones to walk away with the ultimate prize! The whole club is proud of your achievement!

Second Keg Night

FA Cup and Trivia Night

For those of you who haven't heard, the annual

ANUFC FA Cup Final &Trivia Night

will be on Saturday week, 13 May 2006, commencing at 8.30pm at the RSL Club, Moore Street, the City.

This year's trivia night will be BIGGER and BETTER than ever, as we havesecured the big screen downstairs at the RSL club with lots more roomand participating teams. For the first time, we will be advertising theTrivia Night outside of just ANUFC, so it is critical we get lots ofmembers there to give us the maximum chance of maintaining club pride bywinning our own trivia night!! On the field the game will be fought out between the Hammers and Aussie'arry's Liverpudlians. A recent game between the two teams resulted ina narrow 2-1 win to Liverpool so the game promises to be an enticingone.

This year, as part of the new arrangements, it will be 8 per triviaside, so you may wish to reserve up to two tables per team. It will be$10 entry per person (or, if you have reserved a table, $80 per table) on a first come, first served basis. Partners are welcome and anyonewho wants to come only for the trivia night is also welcome. As we will be advertising outside the ANUFC it is critical that you letme know ASAP if your team wants to attend and reserve a table (or two).

I need team nominations by no later than Monday next week, 8 May 2006, in order to be able to give the RSL club an indication regardingnumbers. Please note, we expect/hope to have AT LEAST ONE TABLE PER ANU FOOTBALLTEAM. The Club Executive seeks your cooperation and activeparticipation in making this event a success!!

I will be selling tickets both in advance, and on the night, on an individual or table basis. Again, it will be first come first served soplease let me know early of your requirements.

The Club Forums will be used by Coaches and Committee Members to inform prospective players about important information including training times and club events. So check them regularly.

ANU Women's Club seeking Coaches

We are seeking coaches of any level for the upcoming 2006 season .

ANU FC 2006 Pre-Season

Pre-season training and trials for the ANU FC Premier League squad commences on 24 January 2006 at O'Connor District Playing Fields (off Pedder St) from 6:30 - 8:30pm and will continue on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Coach Darren Viskovich will cast a critical eye over returning players as well as assessing the merits of newcomers to ensure a successful season. Div 1 will also train in pre-season with the Premier League squad.

Training for Div 3 down to Masters will commence on 13 February 2006 at Fellows Oval from 6:30 - 8pm and will continue on Mondays and Wednesdays. New players are welcome to join one of Canberra's most established and well-respected clubs!

World Cup Qualifier Tomorrow Morning!

Just a reminder, SBS is covering both legs of the World Cup Qualifier against Uruguay. The first leg is tomorrow morning, with build up from 6.30am and kick-off at 7.00am
